Internship programme

To help young talent get started on a career in PR, Mulberry has given students internships or work experience placements from many leading academic establishments including:

Iowa Warwick
Tonbridge GrammarRMIT BournemouthBirmingham

Duisburg Essen
Leeds Metropolitan University of Oregon
Mulberry offers an internship programme for students and graduates wishing to gain an understanding of the workings of a successful PR agency.

Unlike other PR agencies who offer similar placements, you won't just be asked to do the photocopying, send a fax or make a coffee. Here at Mulberry, our interns are treated as equals and become an vital part of the team.

At Mulberry you will gain hands-on experience in the day-to-day business of PR and marketing work and get the chance to be involved in important tasks and exciting challenges.

Don’t believe us? Here’s what our recent Mulberry interns had to say…

Carrie Symonds

During my time at Mulberry I got the chance to work on many different projects which involved me writing press releases, editing case studies, calling journalists to pitch products, organising press cuttings and brainstorming on upcoming creative projects with the rest of the team.

I was always challenged but never felt out of my depth. I have come away from Mulberry knowing far more about the PR business and feeling confident that a career in PR is something I want to pursue.

- Carrie Symonds, March 2009

"

Right from the start I was treated as an equal and made to feel like one of the team rather than simply as the ‘work experience girl'"

Luisa Krogmann

Right from the beginning they integrated me into the team, and I was given plenty of exciting and challenging tasks. I had previous work experience at some of Germany’s largest PR agencies, so it was an interesting challenge to experience working abroad in my second language for a smaller PR business. I can say that was a great success!

The best experience was my first business trip to pitch for business to a potential client. I was very pleased to have the opportunity of accompanying the CEO and an Account Manager on this trip. I learned a lot about how a PR agency operates, and how to go about winning new business.

“Chris and the talented Mulberry team give this company a remarkable international character. I honestly loved to work for Mulberry; it is a calm, very friendly and helpful climate – I was never discouraged from asking questions when I was lost in the PR jungle!”

- Luisa Krogmann, October 2008

Marcus Fabro

I often had to remind myself that Chris was the CEO as he really took the time to make sure I was happy with what I was getting on with and was always on hand to help me if ever I had a problem – and I was just the intern!

I was thrust into the centre of whatever was on the agenda for that day. I was always given something different and worthwhile to do.
