Mulberry Takes Home Two MarCom Awards

CHICAGO – December 3, 2019 – Mulberry Marketing Communications today announced it has been awarded Platinum MarCom Awards for the execution of two client campaigns. Administered by the Association of Marketing and Communication Professionals (AMCP), the MarCom Awards honor excellence and originality in the development of marketing and communication materials.

Mulberry was recognized under the Strategic Communications category and Public Relations subcategory for its work on Cintas’ 2017 “Janitor of the Year” contest. Mulberry also received praise for Diversey’s “Heroes without Capes” hiring campaign within the Digital Media category and Social Campaign subcategory.

Now renamed Custodian of the Year, the annual Cintas contest was launched with the help of Mulberry in 2013 to recognize K-12 and university-level custodians who go above and beyond for their schools. Mulberry oversees media relations and social media management during the contest period, and supports the winner event once national voting has closed. The 2017 contest achieved record results, with nearly 900,000 public votes for the 10 finalists, as well as placements with Fox & Friends, Good Morning America, Jeopardy and more.

Mulberry developed the Heroes without Capes campaign in 2018 to support hiring efforts for Diversey, a leading provider of cleaning and hygiene solutions. Mulberry positioned Diversey’s Service Specialists as heroes who protect society by ensuring that essential cleaning solutions are available in environments like schools, hospitals, restaurants and office buildings. Mulberry developed a video and managed organic and paid social media posts across 20 hiring markets that showcased several Service Specialists to educate the market on the importance of the role and entice qualified individuals to apply. The campaign created internal excitement within the company, humanized the Diversey brand and resulted in a 4x increase in job applications.
